Leaks of Photos- 'Sex and the City' movie makes Tabloid Rumors

"Sex and the City" movie shooting on the streets of New York, it's no surprise the film has become catnip for the city's fashion, high-society, publishing and tabloid realms at present.

And that's shooting resulted in seemingly endless leaks of photos, gossip and possible key plot points. The parade of paparazzi shots released photos and "if A, then therefore B" plot deductions have created a rubber-neck fascination not seen since "The Devil Wears Prada."


Popular website Gawker.com waggishly anointed the production "The Most Important Movie Ever Shot in New York," running a dozen fan-on-the-street updates in the past month. Ditto the tabs, which have festooned their pages with giddy headlines and "candid" shots of Chris Noth, Sarah Jessica Parker and the gals.

Also Some of the tips are obviously coming from fashion designers angling for coverage, but some appear to be coming from the production itself, even though New Line is officially mum.

As far as managing the proliferation of photos, film vets who have been through similar highly conspicuous location shoots say there are two basic options to manage the keen interest: Strictly limit photos to only a handful of official shots, or flood the market by allowing unfettered paparazzi.
