when it comes to winning "Dancing With the Stars" - Fan support is just as critical as fancy footwork.

As a professional dancer, Spice Girl Melanie Brown was easily the most polished finalist, consistently wowing the judges with her versatility and flair in this show. She and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, were the highest-scoring couple throughout the hit show's fifth season.

On Tuesday night show, viewers snubbed Brown and gave the mirrorball trophy award to race-car driver Helio Castroneves. The fourth consecutive man to win the contest, Castroneves' personality, enthusiasm and flashing smile - combined with an effortless quickstep on his final performance - they clearly resonated more with voters.

Castroneves said after the show - "It's not only about dancing, you know? It's about popularity," . "That's what I'm actually very happy about."

The ABC show began in September with a dozen dancers whose are models,actress,actor,dancer in their profession. Model-actress Josie Maran was the first to be eliminated. Other nixed contestants were actresses Bryan, Jennie Garth and Jane Seymour, billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban, entertainer Wayne Newton, boxer Floyd Mayweather, model Albert Reed and actor Cameron Mathison etc.


This show averaged around 20 million weekly viewers for each of its twice-weekly episodes in the 2006-07 season, eclipsed only by Fox powerhouse "American Idol." "Dancing" is still on its toes, with nearly 22 million viewers making it last week's No. 1 show in American TV channel.

Kate Beckinsale hospitalized in Memphis - Actress experiencing numbness in her left arm and leg

Kate Beckinsale was hospitalized Memphis-area hospital over the weekend.Asource revealed that the British beauty went to the hospital on Sunday afternoon, after complaining of numbness in her left arm and leg. The stunning Hollywood actress was taken to the hospital after she became increasingly concerned, but concerned doctors put it down to exhaustion.

Hospital source told in US TV show - Doctors treated Beckinsale and determined the problem."She was really concerned about the numbness, so decided to go and have it checked out. She wasn't in any pain, but doctors treated her and said it was down to exhaustion and the fact she hadn't been compliant with her regular medication."

Kate Beckinsale representative denied the reports, and said the actress went to the hospital to accompany her assistant who had sprained her ankle, but had her own check-up while she was hospitalised.

Kate Beckinsale is currently in Memphis shooting the drama “Nothing But The Truth,” alongside Matt Dillon and David Schwimmer. This drama slated to hit theaters in September 2008.

We all know, Kate's actor father Richard Beckinsale tragically died of a massive heart attack when he was just 31 yrs.

Kate has previously admitted when she lived in fear of suffering the same fate as her dad. She told spokes person: "Making it past the age that my father died made it easier to look forward to things and not have anything nagging you at the back of your mind."
